Located in the mudroom at the garage entry.
Washer
Leave the door open between uses. It prevents a mildew smell that pops up from time to time otherwise.
Dryer
Something about this dryer (finer mesh?) makes emptying the lint trap before every load important. A lot more lint collects than the previous dryer.
Note. Kids can do laundry with the same help they'd get at home — empty pockets, check the lint trap, don't overload the washer.
